Let me introduce myself. I'm Michelle, experienced as a mother of five, yet practically a neophyte in the world of technology. My IT husband and five children clearly know more about technology than I do and all consider me technologically-challenged. I think they think using mom & technology in the same sentence indicates someone is getting ready to tell a joke. Hmmm... Who's not being given enough credit here? :)
Taking this course, I'm excited to be exposed to the digital tools (and associated lingo) being used in classrooms. I also hope to learn to use some of these things especially any educational apps for elementary use with the iPad.
I would probably make a fine "expert" sample external audience for testing communication to be sent to parents dealing with new technology. You want to know what questions people are going to ask or what they're not going to be able to do or understand, I could probably help you out there! Did you pick up that being an "expert" with any technology is just a bbiiiiittt of a stretch for me?
I'm open to learning about anything. For me the biggest challenge will be being able to give the time to the research that I'd like to do. So I'll probably try to start my searches with your suggestions/recommendations first since there is such a wealth of experience in this group.
